Refund & Cancellation Policy
How trials, cancellations, contract commitments, and refunds work at CopyUp.ai.
Last updated: February 2026
This policy explains when you can cancel, what happens to your access, and when refunds do and do not apply. It complements the Subscription & Billing section of our Terms of Service and the answers in our Pricing FAQ; if there is any conflict, the Terms of Service govern.
Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you have under the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence.
7-day trial
Where a card-on-file trial is offered, we verify your payment card at sign-up but do not charge it during the trial period.
- The trial lasts 7 days from the moment it starts.
- You can cancel at any time before the trial ends, directly from Settings → Billing. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are never charged.
- If you do not cancel, your paid subscription begins automatically at the end of the trial and your card is charged for the plan you selected.
- You are shown the price, the billing frequency, and how to cancel before the trial starts and before any charge is made.
Cancelling a subscription
You may request cancellation at any time from Settings → Billing or by contacting support.
- For recurring (month-to-month) subscriptions, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your access continues until then, and you are not charged again.
- For fixed-term contracts (6-month or 12-month plans), cancellation stops future renewal but does not end the current commitment early. Service remains active until the end of your committed term.
- You can re-subscribe at any time after cancellation.
Refunds
Except where a refund is required by applicable law, fees already paid are non-refundable and unused allowances do not carry over.
- Fixed-term contracts: early cancellation does not release you from the remaining commitment, and no refunds or credits are provided for unused time.
- Recurring subscriptions: we do not provide partial refunds for the current billing period after it has started.
- If you were charged in error, or the service was materially unavailable due to our fault, contact us and we will review your case in good faith.
EU/EEA right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA, you may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts.
By starting to use a paid digital service during that period you may be asked to acknowledge that performance begins immediately, which can limit the withdrawal right for the portion already supplied. Where the right applies, contact us within 14 days of purchase and we will process it in accordance with the law.
How to cancel
- In the app: go to Settings → Billing and choose to cancel your trial or subscription.
- By email: contact support@copyup.ai from the address associated with your account.
- We confirm cancellations by email and show your updated status in Settings.
